Engineered Timber

Residential settings only. NOT to be installed in wet areas that have a potential for flooding or are subject to excessive moisture and high levels of humidity, such as; bathrooms, laundries, saunas or outdoor areas.

Luxury Vinyl

Residential settings, including bathrooms, kitchens and laundries; commercial settings with light to moderate traffic, such as hotels, conference rooms, classrooms, small offices, small department stores, boutiques and lobbies. NOT to be installed in areas that have a potential for flooding, such as saunas or outdoor areas.

Rigid Vinyl

Residential settings, including bathrooms, kitchens, laundries and areas in direct sunlight. It can also be placed in commercial settings with light to moderate traffic, such as hotels, conference rooms, classrooms, small offices, small department stores, boutiques and lobbies. NOT to be installed in areas that have a potential for flooding, such as saunas or outdoor areas.

We highly recommend that you DO NOT install luxury vinyl planks over an electrical radiant heating system however a hydronic radiant heating system is acceptable provided the following instructions are complied with:

  • Ensure the surface temperature never exceeds 27°C.
  • Before installing over newly constructed radiant heat systems, operate the system at maximum capacity to force any residual moisture from the subfloor.
  • Once this has been completed, switch off your radiant heating system for installation of the flooring. It is recommended that the radiant heat be applied in a gradual manner after installing the flooring.

For additional guidance, it would be best to refer to the recommendations of the radiant heat system’s manufacturer.

Our hard flooring underlays can be laid on a heated slab provided it does not exceed the temperature that the floorcovering manufacturer recommends.

We DO NOT recommend the use of Heartridge flooring products in an outdoor setting. The impact of varying and unpredictable weather conditions, such as rain and extreme humidity, can affect the structural durability and appearance of the planks.

Due to a risk to the dimensional stability of a floor, we DO NOT warrant the use of particleboard as a suitable subfloor for a luxury vinyl plank installation.

The product should be installed flush against the beading. The tighter it is cut-in, the better. It’s also worthwhile noting that the colder the acclimatisation and installation temperature, the better.

We would recommend the use of felt backed castors underneath any heavy furniture (>100kg)  to prevent the occurrence of indentations. Another preventative method would be to avoid dragging furniture and other heavy objects across the floor.

We’re proud to state that our luxury vinyl products have been tested for formaldehyde emissions and have received the lowest possible rating – E0. Similarly, the phthalates that are used in our LVP are non-volatile/dangerous.

Yes, it can be installed on stairs using a hard set, acrylic sheet vinyl or vinyl plank adhesive that follows the manufacturer’s recommendations. As with a floor installation it is recommended that the surface is flat/even, structurally sound, clean and dry.

We DO NOT recommend the use of steam mops as excess moisture may permeate into the flooring and cause possible damage to the planks and deterioration of the adhesive.

Any cleaning substance that specifically states that it is designed for laminates, hardwoods or luxury vinyl floors will be suitable for use with our products. Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool or scouring powder as this may damage the surface of your floor.

We recommend the use of the Bona Floor Cleaning products.

Alternatively, for regular cleaning of your Heartridge Floor, you can use a dry or damp cloth that is rung out until no more drops are present. Sweep or vacuum regularly, using soft bristle attachments.
